Conceptual Photoshoots

In addition to painting on canvas I am fond of painting on people.

I adore this collaborative art form which relies upon the combined talents of artists, models, and photographers/ videographers to make the most of a moment before it's gone.

My projects have been a combination of commissions for festivals and special events, collaborations for creativity's sake, and competitions. Scroll through the galleries on this page to see examples of my work.

I am also hired as a costumed facepainter for special events, with rates starting at $100/ hour.

FAQ's

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The price of bodypaint projects can range anywhere between $100 and $1000+, depending upon the complexity of the design, materials used, and amount of time needed for application and travel (if necessary). I will provide pasties for full body designs on female models, but models should bring their own bottoms (smooth, microfiber material) unless otherwise discussed.

Once I receive your project description, I'll contact you with a personalized quote and from there a session will be scheduled. A 50% deposit will be due upon scheduling your session and is payable by cash, check, or Paypal. The balance is due upon completion.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

A bodypaint session could take one or several hours, depending on the design and amount of coverage. A simple one color design could be done within an hour whereas a full-body, very detailed design could take 4-8 hours. Overall time can be reduced by recruiting the help of an assistant artist and this is always an option for projects.

WILL THE PAINT RUB OFF?

The paint I use is professional body paint that won’t flake, crack, rub off, or smear. It only takes a few minutes to dry, and once dry, you can touch it, hug people, and even throw on light, soft clothing over it.

WHAT KIND OF PAINT DO YOU  USE?

I use professional, water-based, hypoallergenic make-up paint that is non-toxic and washes off easily with soap and water. Water-proof paint is an option for certain occasions.

HOW LONG DOES IT STAY?

If your skin is free of lotion or oil, the paint should last all day/night. However, all skin types are different, and the water-based paint is susceptible to coming off under conditions of rain or sweat.

IS IT HARD TO REMOVE BODY PAINT?

Soap and water are all that is needed to take water-based paint off.

WHAT DESIGN SHOULD I GET?

Take inspiration from galleries of my previous work, or do an image search online. You can describe colors, moods, or themes you're looking for, or send me inspirational images via email. Still not sure? Let me know the theme of your event, your company colors and/or logo, things you like, etc., and I can help you brainstorm or design it all for you.

CAN I GO OUT ONTO THE STREET AND WEAR NOTHING ?

Unfortunately, paint is not considered clothing, so pasties and thong underwear are the minimum coverage allowed. I will provide pasties if they are needed but models should bring their own bottoms (smooth, microfiber material) unless otherwise discussed.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ON THE DAY OF BODY PAINTING?

Shaved skin/ trimmed body hair, and NO OIL OR LOTION on your body.
